Eek!Illogical!

A multi-platform entertainment property with worldwide success potential to generate multiple revenue streams, including concerts, recorded music, music publishing, radio, web, television, film, animation, merchandising, sponsorship, artist management and promotion.

The All Animal Network presents broadcaster Hirsch Touja - on loan from TRN (The Real Network), with a special Touja Live exclusive presentation: Eek!Illogical, a series of unprecedented, exclusive multi-species music and comedy extravaganza benefit concerts to raise awareness of species’ concerns for the environment, one of the most unexpected happenings in the history of existence.

Executive Summary

Eek!Illogical!, a hugely attractive multimedia project, includes music/contestant/voting, the concept so popular with audiences and advertisers.

I outlined my creative concept to an advertising agency, and the Creative Director said it was awesome, and that if I can make this a go, both Letterman and Leno would want to feature it. Also, I was told by a staff member with the Ontario Media Development Corporation, an Ontario provincial government-funded media production support agency, that Eek!Illogical ‘has legs'.

The primary platform and starting point is a musical comedy radio/on-line show; this morphs into multimedia and stage/broadcast concerts.

In the initial public phase, requiring a business relationship with an Internet-accessible radio station, songwriters and bands submit their songs online to be voted on by web users and radio listeners. The songs must be fictionally attributed to non-human species, as the species’ protest response to humanity’s environmentally destructive activities.

The show setting and tone is an old-time music hall type presentation, featuring a few hosts and several acts.

The winning songs are featured in two-hour, weekly blocks within the story line:

hundreds of acts vie to perform in a series of benefit concerts for and by non-humans for environmental awareness.

There is creative potential to develop characters and to contribute to both the music industry and environmental awareness.

I am seeking partners in management, development, production, marketing and distribution.

The programming is not limited to a one-off; it will be developed into a series.

As mentioned, the concept includes the popular 'voting' and reality 'winner' scenarios, and a series of super concert contests. Phase two includes live concerts featuring a combination of animation and theatre, ‘Animalive’, to be filmed both as a documentary and feature release.

An additional beauty of Eek!Illogical!, besides the story concept, is that all the songs and comedy, a variety of genres/styles, hence applicable to many specialty channels and alternative media, can be pulled individually for air play, CD's, DVD's, etc.

I want to interest you in a founding partnership with me in Eek!Illogical! You bring immense experience in music, media, business and entertainment, and particular work with innovative, creative multimedia to create great success for this project.

Please reply to eekillogical@gmail.com for more information or to schedule a meeting to discuss the exciting potential of my project. Thank you so very much for your consideration.

Log Line

Eek!Illogical! is a series of musical comedy live and simulcast (radio/video/net) ‘charity’ benefit concerts, along the old music hall lines.

The story concerns the secretive digital audio broadcast of charity benefit concerts produced and presented by non-human species on the All Animal Network to convey with music and comedy the other species concerns about the environment.

Only one human is allowed to attend as the 'voice' speaking to humanity, the human host of the show, Hirsch Touja, famed host known for his Touja Live television show that runs on TRN (The Real Network).

The concert's main act is the Gloomy Doomer Twins, three frightened, meek mice; also appearing are the Komic Cats Khorus (cat stand-up comedians), the Wailin Woofin Wedgies (fence-sitting dogs) and NEY (Not Extinct Yet - hip-hop rapper group with several species).

Launch Plan

Development & Pre-production – 1 year

            Includes business/web/animation development and implementation.

Media: radio, web

Production – cyclical, ongoing, ideally 3 years out, 3 seasons a year with each resulting in submission, vote, concert/broadcast/film (9 ‘animalive’ concerts, each year one best of concert, final 3-year best of concert)

Includes radio-based web site and marketing, contestant submissions, audience voting, music publishing, distribution, artist management & promotion, concerts tours, animation, film.

Post-production - cyclical, ongoing, ideally 3 years out, 3 seasons a year with each resulting in television / web concert /film specials (follows production cycle above)

Includes radio-based web site and marketing, contestant submissions, audience voting, music publishing, distribution, artist management & promotion, television and film production and distribution.

Budget – Though a sizable initial investment will be required, with the great revenue potential, the ROI will be substantial.

Year one development, planning, management, production and creative could be as low as $500,000 up to $2,000,000+, depending on several factors – matching funds could be available from granting agencies, for example, from business, government and foundations.

Giving back: not only should Eek!Illogical! raise environmental awareness, but it should give back, with a percentage of profits available to animal protection non-profits or other environmental conservation groups.

The Story

The All Animal Network presents broadcaster Hirsch Touja - on loan from TRN (The Real Network), with a special Touja Live exclusive presentation: Eek!Illogical, the unprecedented, exclusive multi-species music and comedy extravaganza benefit concert series to raise awareness of species’ concerns for the environment, one of the most unexpected happenings in the history of existence.

Touja is the only human allowed to attend the Eek!Illogical shows; concert organizers hope his presence attracts human attention by making the events available to radio listeners everywhere. The humans are exactly the people that the others want to reach with their message, and the most illuminating fact about their desire to be heard, they are banding together in a top-secret location, species that have been at each other’s throats since time began. But they are getting together in an unprecedented show of species solidarity, and to attend the concert events of their lives.

For the events, 20 billion tickets were given away to attend the first Touja Live concert. Unprecedented!

Touja opens his first show on a path, in a forest, where the concert organizers allow him to start broadcasting. Touja takes us on a short trek down a dark forest path to the secret sea-side concert/broadcast location. He describes his feeling as he heads towards a small circle of light and sound far ahead:

HT: Security is strong here, the animals worry about a human backlash, so they need to keep this location top-secret. I was blindfolded, had my ears and nose plugged, I had to wear a double layer of clothing on my entire body, including gloves and a balaclava, then I was bundled into a duffle bag and brought here, on a dark path in a forest. I have no idea where I am, and I just now have been handed my microphone by the concert organizers and told to follow this path, so here I go, come along, Live Touja.

OPENING MUSIC, OVERTURE

VO (like most show openings, pronounced voicing, spaced across the music):  Touja Live from a top-secret location! Featuring The Doomy Gloomer Twins, Komix Kats Korus, Wailing Woofing Wedgies, NEY (aka Not Extinct Yet), and many more! AAN, the All Animal Network presents Eekillogical, a world premiere event, multicasting on every possible media. Here he is, Hirsch Touja.

BKGD species crowd sounds, muted music, set in a forest beside the sea

HT: Good Evening, I’m Hirsch Touja, the official human host for this exciting, beats all, never been seen before benefit event, Eek!Illogical! What a pleasure to be here today wherever here is, that’s a mystery to me. It’s all top-secret, folks. I’m rooting for doing the right thing, I’m pumped, I’m ready to have my world rocked. Long live all species! Peace, man, and party on. Seriously, I am honoured, privileged and proud to present (PAUSE – DRUM ROLL, CROWD CHEERS, HT SHOUTS) Eekillogical, it’s the hottest show on earth (HT SHOUTS) Eek!Illogical!

CROWD CHEERS

VO: AAN, live at EekIllogical.

SPECIES CROWD SOUNDS, THEIR VOICES MILL ABOUT, PASS BY

HT: I’m here, at this electric venue, making my way through the crowds, it’s spooky, it’s unprecedented, every type of creature is here in this top-secret sea-side location. It is May 22 to humanity, but the species tell me for them it is the year one hundred thirty billion, nine hundred twenty one million, six hundred forty three thousand twenty nine. This special gathering is a rare show of tolerance and détente, with the volume turned up to maximum concern levels for earth’s multi-billion citizens. Cube that number and you’ve got the total ears, eyes and other sensory facilitators that plan to be tuned into this mighty multicast. On stage tonight, our stars, those plucky domesticates, cats and dogs, those wildest house and field creatures, mice, and the rest of tonight’s outstanding line-up. Listen for the flurry, the call from nature.

CROWD CHEERS

HT: Welcome, welcome, what a show, what a night. Here we are, and let’s get started. Ready? Please join me in welcoming our show host, a duck unlike any other, special, like your best friend, and she’s one of mine, let’s hear it for Fly Girl!

CROWD CHEERS

Fly Girl, a duck welcomes all and opens the show with the host act, The Gloomy Doomer Twins, a trio of mice singing “How Can I Get You Out of My Yard”.

In Summary

Thank you for your consideration of Eek!Illogical!.

I am a creative entrepreneur. While unemployed a few years ago, I created this project because I truly want to raise awareness of our complicated world environment with humour and music. And I had some time on my hands.

I would be delighted to discuss an opportunity to partner with you to bring Eek!Illogical! alive.

Sincerely,

Linda Turner
